Creative Every Day Check-In: July 4 – 10

July 4th, 2011

This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.

Join in the Challenge: Read all the details and sign up for the  2011 Creative Every Day Challenge here!

Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 7/4//11 - 7/10/11.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter, you can use the hashtag  #CED2011 to help others find your Creative Every Day tweets!

Theme: The (totally optional) theme for July is Blue, which you can read more about and get ideas for here. July's theme will be posted on Wednesday!

Happy Creating!

Happy July 4th, everyone! Just another work day here in Germany. At least the sun is bright and proving good light for painting.

I’m 2nd on the sign-up list this week – I’ve never been that early before. Lol. :-)

Happy 4th July to those friends who celebrate. Like Jul (comment above) in Germany in the UK it is also just another day;-( But I may have to inject a little celebratory mood into my day & creativity!

Hope everyone has a happy & creative week!

Wow I’m 3rd. That’s never happened. I started a new technique. It surely has a name. Sort of. Reverse appliqué . Happy 4th . Terah

i need inspiration and gentle challenges DAILY! please dont remove me because I put a blog address … I thought it was part of the rules…love all the inspiration here!

Liberty…it isn’t free. Happy 4th of July to everyone who celebrates Independence every where!

This is the first time sharing here. . . whew. I did it! Happy 4th!

I’ve never been one to celebrate the Fourth of July. Not really sure what to do with myself…

In terms of creativity, I’m still trying to balance my heavy-duty day gig with my artistic life. I am working on two piano pieces and I’ve started a new poem. My goal is to become brave enough to read the poem in public. I’ve never done that before.

I love this month’s theme. Blue makes me feel hopeful, peaceful, and happy.

wow! I just signed up for a Dear Jane Contemporary Quilt and I’m using blue Kona Cotton as the main solid. Then I come to here and find the theme for July is ‘blue’. Libby

Happy 4th everyone! The theme made me think about blue flames and sparks. It helps me keep the spark in my life and in my creations.

Hi Leah, this is a lovely page that I have been dreaming of being a part of for a long time so I am thrilled to be here. I am still figuring it all out but excited about the fun ahead and forward to jumping into the Blue theme of July.

I haven’t posted on here in quite some time due to my creative endeavors keeping me very busy, but now I’ve just posted my latest creativeness on my blog!

I am so grateful to have found your site. Yay!

Today I’m sharing the beautiful blue waters of the Pacific!

I somehow did a painting that matches the month’s theme without even realising!

Not exactly in keeping with the ‘blue’ theme…but more on the patriotism of the red white and blue:

Lots of blue in this new painting. Two little girls holding sand pails on the beach..blue sky.

I posted something that I made that is two shades of blue, and remembered when I came here to share that the theme of the month is “blue.” :)

An experience like no other – alone in the woods: a journey through creativity, spirituality and nature.

There has been a lot of creative activity around here this summer… just have not been caught up with taking photos of my work and blogging about it! I like the blue theme for the month of July and will have to work that into my projects :-)

I stumbled across this challenge while I was re-vamping my own blog. The main reason I re-started my blog again was to hold myself publicly accountable for being more creative and ‘adventurous’. Finding this was perfect timing. :)

It’s a wonderful idea and I love the inspiration.

Second blue painting of the month; a real labour of love this one!

Lovely blue eyes! I made a “cool cat” collage while on the long drive north from Florida to Pennsylvania to visit family.

It has been a long while since I have posted an update.
I am glad to be back sharing the inspiration.

I have been very busy this week! Moving posts, creating posts, changing my blogs somewhat. Experimenting with adding pages, though I haven’t figured how to use the pages as individual blogs, instead of one stagnant page with a description and a link to the blog. I also noticed the scheduler for posting and have had uhmm an interesting time trying to get the time to be correct for my own time zone AND to show as publishing to match the zone I chose! Ripped some hairs out yes I did. Well, come visit Elisa’s Spot to see what I’ve been doing in July.
