Art Every Day Month Check-In: Day 15

Day 15 of Art Every Day Month! We're half-way through! Woohoo! Take some time to celebrate your progress today. You're doing great.

The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. (If you're receiving this post via email, you'll have to click through the blog to see the widget.) If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post and the links on the participant page for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!

If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post, not your main blog page or website (or you can link to a specific image if you're linking to a flickr page.) For example, last year for day one I linked to my first post: http://creativeeveryday.com/creativeeveryday/2010/11/the-owl-and-the-pussycat.html instead of my main blog page: http://www.creativeeveryday.com. This makes it easier for people to find your work.  If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation. For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.

How to participate in Art Every Day Month: Check out the AEDM info page for all the details, instructions on how to get involved, and then visit the participants page to sign-up before you use the link widget to share your creations. The Information page also has instructions about how to use the widget below, if you're having any trouble with it.

Survival Guide: If you feel like you could use some more support, prompts, and motivation to keep going throughout the month, check out the Art Every Day Month Survival Guide.

Twitter: If you're on Twitter (I'm on there as @leah_art), I'll be using the hashtag #aedm2011 to mark Art Every Day Month tweets. It helps to find others who are tweeting about AEDM!

Instagram: You can use the same #aedm2011 hashtag if you're playing along on Instagram.

Creative Every Day Challenge participants: If you're not doing Art Every Day Month, you can still use any of the daily Art Every Day Month check-in posts to leave your weekly link.

Thanks for offering this challenge. I can tell I have learned and grown a lot already and enjoy seeing what everyone else comes up with each day!

Part of me can’t believe we’re half way already, and the other part is worried about coming up with 15 more painting subjects to finish the month. Guess it’s time to hit the farmers market for some inspiration!

[...] {This is on an index card, mixed media and collaged words.}  AEDM [...]

Enjoying another day of creative fun! Thanks for the linkup!

I post my AEDM picture at the end of my regular post. This week, I’m playing around with small canvases.

Woohoo! Going strong on day 15!

I’m sitting in front of my computer instead of cleaning my house and getting ready for work just so that I can have another day where I’m not up late posting. “I need a maid” lol

Not a lot of art getting done — but managed to make some ornaments to give as a gift :)

So pleased I’ve made it half way

This is teaching me that “every day” must be defined very loosely! Thanks again for the opportunity!

After beating myself up for not posting more, I came to realize that since the first AEDM I participated in, in 2009, I’ve finally internalized it as Art Every Day all year long.

But I can’t post every day about it. However, today I did!

Leah, I’m loving your inkblots. I hope you are giving yourself extra sparkle point for doing this as a new Mama.

Today’s post – and new painting – is for all the brave hearts out there.

Love your mermaid, Leah!!

This has me inspired to get my Christmas crafting completed instead of putting it off!

Half way point today. Isn’t that cool? I did an art journal page based on a guided meditation.

Spent most of the day playing catch up on my drawing assignments for the last week after three solid days of being couch/bed ridden with cooties. Started to stress about being behind, then remembered “the rules” for this month and quit freaking out about falling behind and just created one big post for the past week instead!

I didn’t comment or link the last couple of days. The posts are on my blog. My artistic adventures haven’t been very notable. I’ve resting and napping a lot while I adjust to new sensations and a stupid rash. :) .

Today was a fun & easy creation! Not sure what tommorrow will bring, since I have a whole day of thrift store junking planned with my uber creative girlfriend! Maybe I can whip something up with one of the many treasures I just KNOW we will have to bring home! Happy creating everyone! :)

I can’t say how much I love AEDM!

Still soldering. Yesterday I missed, but won’t give up. :)

I made my first entry into the new journal I made. I was avoiding its stark white pages long enough:) Happy Day 15 everyone:)

Posted late but got something done for today, it’s just not complete yet. : /

I’ve been absent for a couple of days, but I have been creating just not posting. My shoulder which had been giving me quite a bit of trouble feels amazing after Acupuncture … I recommend it :)

thank you so much, Leah! i’m loving the encouragement to be creative on my own and also in seeing everyone else’s amazing work!
