Creative Every Day Check-In: December 5 – 11

December 5th, 2011

This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.

Sign-ups for the 2012 Challenge will open soon!

Join in the Challenge: Read all the details and sign up for the  2011 Creative Every Day Challenge here!

Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 12/5/11 - 12/11/11.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter, you can use the hashtag  #CED2011 to help others find your Creative Every Day tweets!

Theme: The (totally optional) theme for December is Winter, which you can read more about and get ideas for here.

Happy Creating!

Winter, a lingering season, is a time to gather golden moments, embark upon a sentimental journey, and enjoy every idle hour. ~John Boswell

Finished a commission for a little boy last night. :) Happy week everyone.x

Have a ggod week, though it may be a wintry one.
I actually love Winter, do you?

xx

How serendipidous. The theme for this month is winter and the color for Build a Rainbow today is black and white. Black and white are so often found in winter: black trees against white snow, black tire tracks on icy roads. Enjoy your week everyone!

Thanks again for hosting ~ hoping to connect more with Creative Every Day ~ namaste, Carol

Thanks, Leah, for hosting. We can see how busy your life is now, what a joy! Winter here has been very mild, with beautiful sunny days and lots of color still in the trees. I’m working on the sketchbook project after having flaked in November. We’ll see where it goes. Best wishes to all.

I finally rented art studio space about 2 weeks ago–and my productivity has gone way up!! I just did a blog post about the mixed media brooches I have been creating…right now all $$ I amamaking is coming form a few part time gigs doing childcare and my crafts..loving that~

So good to remember to keep on going even when things do not turn out as we imagined they might. So glad we have this safe place to support each other.

I’m so happy to be getting back into the swing of creating and posting here. And I’m also happy the theme is winter!

What a great theme this month – although slightly hard to imagine since we are heading into our summer down under!

Thanks

This week, I take the time to honour those women who have inspired me most. Leah – there is a gift awaiting you there!

what a bliss to be writing… I had a little winter block but just solved that one with this blog post on wintertime and natural rhythms :-)

love to the whole creative community!

Back in the saddle

[...] snowflakes for my last art journal page, so decided to just go with a snowflake series for my Creative Every Day posts this [...]

Thanks Leah for another year of hosting. I have created another mood board for Winter. Check it out.

I posted a link to my acappella affirmations:) For the last few years, I have connected on CED and worked quite a bit on writing melodies. Those branched into tiny songs…sung affirmations…and writing about how to get clear.

Acappella Affirmations, my new e-series, is the result. Thank you, Leah, for making this possible for all of us:) Creating every day leads to big dreams coming true! Planting tiny seeds that grow into beautiful creations!

I will be back in 2012 to see where my creativity leads!
Susan

Doing my best to stay creative!

Can’t believe a year is almost up! This challenge has really been great for me, I need the weekly schedule to keep disciplined.
Thank you!

Finished some Christmas cards and have just a few more to do. Then need to finish a homemade art gift for the collective I am a part of. Holidays are hectic but so much fun!
