Creative Every Day Check-In: August 27 – Sept 2

August 27th, 2012

This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.

Join in the Challenge: You can now sign-up for the 2012 Challenge here!

Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 8/27/12 - 9/2/12.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter, you can use the hashtag #CED2012!

Theme: The (totally optional) theme for August is Shadow, which you can read more here.

Happy Creating!

Just coming by to say “hello” and comment after linking my blog. I’m so excited about doing this challenge with you!

Crazy busy week, just barely able to make a square inch of art in my studio. Harvest is wonderful and abundant, but exhausting! Have a great week!

Thanks for hosting! Have a wonderful week :) )

Happy Week to you and your family ~ Happy Creating ~ Thanks for hosting ~ Carol (A Creative Harbor)

My studio looks like the hurricane that is in Florida visited here first! YIPES…I guess that’s my first job for this week. There is no room to crate until I clean up the messes I have in there! Well, the creative mind is not an organized mind, that’s for sure!

Hi everbody! Hope you have a wonderfully creative week!

haven’t been here in awule–distracted buy summer I guess…check out my MUST LOVE PINK socks on my blog :-) and Leah fun to see you at 137 days project!!

This week’s post follows a week-long visit to my home town, which is a city on the Canadian East Coast. I write about my connection to the sea, the “shadows” that lie within its depths, and my yearning to go home to those shores again and again.

Finishing up my Artful Gathering doll. I hope to have her assembled by Friday.

Blessings! I’ve been doing a little thinking tonight on what I can top off the end of this month with the Theme: SHADOWS…Nothing to extraordinary has been going on as of recently (just been dealing with some unwanted Shadows of certain things that have been popping up recently in my life) other than being challenged by some of the ‘Shadows’ that are in teaching me how to better myself.

I’ve currently been posting some pages called FINDING MORNING SUNSHINE on my Blog, and picked up a special creative Moon course with a friend and her participants — so in ending this August, I’m thinking of writing up some Shadow pages dealing with the MOON…possibly called ‘Evening Moon Shadows’, and creating some stories or thoughts and rituals before the Blue (Full) Moon makes its appearance in the night skies on Friday the 31st!

It’s supposed to be a ‘time of magick’ — and I’m sure it’ll start stirring my mind with many new things to come; if I can just take the time of solitude to dedicating myself this time!

thanks, Leah! i’m posting a reworking of a collage i posted last time–interesting process of being told i coudn’t use some images by the copyright holder…made me look deeper…

Always loved your site! Looking forward to jump on the creative wagon again!

I think that it is serendipity that the theme is time. In the last couple of days I have been more aware of the limits of time and I realized how much I missed this challenge. Part of me said wait for the Art Everyday Month, but decided that I should go ahead and jump in because there was no time like the present.
It feels good to be back
