Creative Every Day Challenge Check-In: October 5 -11

October 5th, 2009

Ced2009Welcome, Creative Every Day Challenge participants!

This weekly post is a place for CED participants to share their creative activities.

Ways to share: Leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a post (or posts) about your creative activities during the days of 10/5/09 - 10/11/09.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.)

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to.

Join in the Challenge: To find out more about the Creative Every Day Challenge check out the details here.

If you want to sign up to be a part of the challenge, leave a comment on this post or email me to let me know. When you contact me, please let me know how you'd like to be listed in the list of participants, which resides in the right sidebar (I can list you as your name or as a link to a blog if you have one. A blog is not required to participate!) Please email or comment to let me know you're participating before you start posting links in the comments or on the "Mr. Linky" widget.

Theme: The (totally optional) theme for October is connect. I'll be posting about the theme throughout the month. You can find out more about how you can use the inspiration theme here.

Happy Creating!

Dear Leah,

I am new to this exciting challenge this month, and just wanted to let you know that I shall be participating. Though my site is solemnly dedicated to connection and my experiences with the higher self through the Art Medium, you will definetly find something different each day and month.

Alongside leaving my linky when you have approved me, I would like to be featured on the right sidebar, but with my blog’s name instead and a link to it.

My blog is: Expressive World – http://expressiveworld.com

I feel this opportunity is a great way to meet new people, on similiar paths of the Art World. It is evident I am already actively visiting their blogs, and discovering much joy.

Thank you.

My creativity this week is finally swinging back to my Etsy shop! Posted a couple new ephemera pages, but more exciting: Madame Zolda is back :) She’s doing readings using my 1,000 Faces deck of cards. You know things will be creative when Madame comes channeling thru again!
miracles,

Still playing with Photoshop and loving it!

Love the theme this month and am thankful to have this site in which to connect with an abundance of talent and creativity.

xoxo

busy first part of the week, but then off to the oregom coast to connect with friends & the ocean…..should be good stuff coming from that!

this week i am putting the finishing touches on my “making friends with creativity” creativity workshop which i will be giving on wednesday evening :) :) :) having a blast with it.

This week I have posted some sketches, a painting, and an inchies project that I just started. I’m playing with a lot of things and connecting with a lot of new wonderful people online. Hope you all have a creative week! I look forward to visiting your blogs. :)

Hi, everyone! I posted an addendum to my Truth week from participating in Jamie Ridler’s The Next Chapter book group, and it occurred to me that the vision page I created was a fun way I connected with my inner artist self, and discovered that treating myself to an artist’s date was a fabulous way to get myself unblocked and my creativity flowing again. Today, I also was able to get to my studio and experiment with vivid color combinations through 3 new watercolor paintings. I haven’t photographed them yet, though. When I do I will post again and share them with you all.

I love this theme of “connection” and I know it will be inspiring to me all month!

This week, I’ve been working on handmade cards–one or two here and there when I can grab time. Reconnecting to daily practice of creating. I’m preparing for Dorchester Open Studio, where I will see my cards, paintings, jewelry. I like having a word/theme in my head constantly driving me to make art. Thanks for this.

Sorry, my last post should have my name as Sandy, not Sandt.

Hey everyone! I am doing my bit just by “connecting” with you all here. Not much else to report, just loving being in your company.

Posted about lots of cool stuff with links.

Hi, Leah! Sure wish you’d do some kind of class/art retreat in the Ann Arbor area!!!

xoxo

Fall seems to be such a great time to connect in the art world. Nature is at it’s peak of perfection and we are all inspired to be out and about taking in art shows and mingling with other artists. And of course connecting with nature is a great catalyst for a new art project! Let it flow!

I connected with an artist mentor and wrote about a few of the benefits of that. Hope you’re settling in well to your new home, Leah.

Wow it’s been a while since i posted here! I am glad to be back. I just finished a jewelry piece following a blog challenge by a metalworking jewelry group called etsy metal.

Hello from Russia!
Can I quote a post in your blog with the link to you?
