Art Every Day Month Check-In: Day 7

November 7th, 2010

Welcome to day 7 of Art Every Day Month. Wishing you all a fabulously creative day!.\

The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post and the links on the participant page for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!

If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post, not your main blog page or website (or you can link to a specific image if you're linking to a flickr page.) For example, for day one I would link to my first post: instead of my main blog page: This makes it easier for people to find your work.  If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation. For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.

How to participate in Art Every Day Month: Check out the AEDM info page for all the details, instructions on how to get involved, and then visit the participants page to sign-up before you use the link widget to share your creations. The Information page also has instructions about how to use the widget below, if you're having any trouble with it.

Survival Guide: If you feel like you could use some more support, prompts, and motivation to keep going throughout the month, check out the Art Every Day Month Survival Guide.

Twitter: If you're on Twitter (I'm on there as @leah_art), I've been using the hashtag #aedm2010 to mark Art Every Day Month tweets. It helps to find others who are tweeting about AEDM!

Creative Every Day Challenge participants: If you're not doing Art Every Day Month, you can still use any of the daily Art Every Day Month check-in posts to leave your weekly link.

You can't use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have. ~Maya Angelou

This challenge is working really well for me. Thanks for all your hardwork!

(having fun)

[...] uncolored sketch here.  Help yourself!  This is my contribution back to all the participants of Art Every Day Month (AEDM) who share their creations and who make every November something I look forward to as much as [...]

wow – does Mr Linky pick up a quote from the blog? I didn’t post that! Because today there isn’t an uncolored sketch, there’s a finished picture of one of the uncolored sketches with a link back to the uncolored one in case one wants it. Modern technology!

finally got to make art yesterday- took a great cyanotype class, full of ideas for future projects!

omg im keeping up!

@Tammy -part of November’s mystery, eh?

Posting early today, up early due to the whole clock turning back thingy. Keeping it simple today, I kinda feel guilty that I didn’t post yesterday, but I did make art.

My hands and fingers still aren’t cooperating for cutting my patterns and fabric, so I played with some watercolour instead. Now, I’m going horizontal for awhile :) . Happy AEDM!
Stay inspired!

It’s Sunday and I’m posting a Saturday “late night” post from my blog! Again, Leah – thanks for the AEDM nudge to my creativity!

My sister is posting what she is Thankful for every day of November on her Facebook. Today and most everyday I am thankful that this wonderful community of creative people is here.
I am stuck with a question of in what kind of world does a fairy live? If anyone has a second to take a peak and give an opinion, I would greatly appreciate it.

I’m cranky and sick and I’m being creative anyway. I hope you’re proud of yourself, Miss Leah.

Aww, Rowena. I’m sorry you’re sick and cranky. I wouldn’t say I’m proud, but I’m smiling. :-)

Tammy, nah, it’s wordpress that picked up a ping from your site. Thanks for the heads up about the uncolored sketches!

Cute video from Olivia!

Maya Angelou is the author of one of the quotes on the poetry chair I feature in my blog check in today!

i woke up at a ridiculous hour this morning and whiled away the time making gift bags from scraps of handmade paper…and downing lots of coffee…

I left two links today – one to my AEDM page – and one to my Artist Discovery post that includes an new ATC artist project that I am beginning.

Today I did a quick sketch & wash in my journal, the words of the day are reflection and vision…how we see ourselves and where do we want to go in this big adventure… the picture didn’t turn out like I wanted though..LOL

Also showcasing a few student pictures from my class yesterday which was mega fun :)
Heading Towards the West

Happy Sunday!

Thanks Leah for the offering the AEDM. I’ve had my hands into the clay all week. Finally leaving a link to my week. Happy creating everyone!

I wish I had enough time to read aaaall of your blogs and leave comments!!! Waaaah!

Some help needed today for birthday invitations! Anyone?

Today I doodled a mandala of sorts & posted about it on my blog.

Also today my 8 year old daughter was inspired by Lisa Wright of WrightStuff blog as she looked over my shoulder to view her art work. It prompted her to rush off and draw an A1 sized picture. So AEDM is inspiring another generation too. Isn’t that fab?

Kat :-)

Loving the creativity :) .
Stay inspired!

Gaaaaah!! So frustrated. I hate this artist block thing. Nothing seems to work and I almost ended up crying today at the drawing table.

My creativity for today was making pear preserves and photographing the process. Enjoy!

[...] this is from today’s time in the studio for Art Every Day Month – Day 7. I’m not sure that I’m done with this page, but I am done [...]

I attended an event to honor soldiers of WWI, of which my grandfather, and two great uncles were involved. I wrote a poem reflecting my musings about that experience.
It is still Day 7 for a little while for me! This daylight savings time is messing me up, too.

I’m so loving this AEDM! Culinary and visual arts were on the agenda yesterday:)

I just wanted to thank everyone for being so kind and supportive. I am really enjoying AEDM!! So much inspiration and creativity! And thanks so much, Leah, for organizing it all!
