Thought Clouds
November 15th, 2010
For day 15 of Art Every Day Month, I decided to play with Caran d'Ache water soluble pastels. The image just kind of popped into being when I put pastel to paper. It's about 9"x12" on paper.
I also spent some time with my best friend today crafting Christmas ornaments, which I'll have to snap some pictures of later. I'm choosing not to think about the fact that the holidays are right around the corner. Yikes!
Time was going so slow this fall, while I was waiting for ultrasound appointments and such, but all of the sudden time is speeding up! I am looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner however. I'm going to be trying out this pumpkin cornbread recipe and bringing that along. Has anyone tried it or something like it?

Beautiful! I struggle with the Caran d’Ache colors. I see other people do such amazing things with them and I just can’t quite get a feel for them. More practice I guess!
The cornbread recipe looks amazing! I might go out to the kitchen now and make some to go with my soup tonight!

It’s as if the lady in the picture is you with all the colourful thoughts about the positive things going on in your/her life.
I found that at the beginning of the pregnancy and at the end things go slow. But believe me – suddenly, & way before you’ve totally got your head around it, there’s a precious baby in your arms. And actually in my case suddenly I’ve got two babes, they’re 7 and 9 years old this month and I’m asking where the hell did that time go?
Crafting Christmas ornaments is great fun. I haven’t made anything yet. I wanted to get the kids Birthdays behind me. But in half an hour’s time they are and so I shall soon be in Christmas mode. I look forward to seeing photos of what you’ve created.
My goodness this comment is turning into a novel. It seems the three books waiting for editing to be completed have turned me into a crazy repressed novelist. I do apologise! Lol

My favourite stuffing recipe is a Lemon Cornbread stuffing. Love it!Usually one of the two turkeys I cook every year uses that stuffing and the other varies.

I LOVE the luminous, dreamy quality made manifest of that piece! And the pumpkin bread sounds delicious! I am having so much fun and so much valuable self awareness through this practice. Thank you! It feels, at essence to me like a lifestyle design, a spiritual lifestyle practice. Posted my week in review this am. http://onelovealliance.blogspot.com/2010/11/how-to-live-art-everyday-part-2.html
