Creative Every Day Check-In: October 3 – 9
October 3rd, 2011
This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.
Join in the Challenge: Read all the details and sign up for the 2011 Creative Every Day Challenge here!
Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 10/3/11 - 10/9/11.
The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.
You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter, you can use the hashtag #CED2011 to help others find your Creative Every Day tweets!
Theme: The (totally optional) theme for October is Autumn, which you can read more about and get ideas for here.
Happy Creating!
Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns. ~George Eliot

Wow, October already. That means the Art Every Day Month will soon be here. Yippee!! I’m actually trying to create everyday anyway, but the challenge was a blast last year. I was ambitious today and redesigned my blog. Also added my Daily Five for my Facebook friends that may be missing them. I get so much more accomplished now that I’m no longer on Facebook. lol
Stay inspired!

I almost missed this check-in, as most of them. But I went outside yesterday, playing with my camera

I’m very curious about Art Everyday Month people are referring to… The desire for constant stimulation is always there for me it seems – but this week’s post is about letting that go, at least for one day.

I’m trying very hard not to go into a panic about being so behind with everything this week. But I found some calm whilst creating a Spanish tile inspired pattern design. The WIP is on my blog. And of course tomorrow is TIC TOCC. So I’m hoping creativity will get me through
Wishing you all a fabulous & creative week!

Last week, we had a truly nice week and I had the chance to play the flute in the Pyrénées. A great time for me to share for those that could hear me from a distance.

Autumn is here and we all seemed to be energized by its presence in our lives. Ladies and gentlemen, happy creating. I just posted on my blog the start of what I hope will be a series inspired by autumn. Thanks Leah for the theme, monstrously great idea!

I have enjoyed your site, Leah, and been creatively inspired by it! I am working now on a silk painting inspired by autumn leaves, and am wanting to try another one inspired by a beautiful tree I see on my daily walk… the colors around it are so varied I am not sure I can capture it! Thanks for your inspiration…
