Creative Every Day Check-In: April 2 – 8

April 2nd, 2012

This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.

Join in the Challenge: You can now sign-up for the 2012 Challenge here!

Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 4/2/12 - 4/8/12.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter, you can use the hashtag #CED2012!

Theme: The (totally optional) theme for April is Language which you can read more about here

Hi Leah, hi everyone,
Looking forward to this month’s challenge – language often inspires me.
Wishing you all a great month. Congrats again on the exhibition, Leah. Hope all is progressing well.
Janice.

I unknowingly wrote about the theme this week! This week’s post explores intuition, and how we learn to bring magic and mystery into our lives by trusting the the voice and the knowledge within.

Good morning. Language – what an interesting theme. I’ll have to think about how to interpret that! Visited Turkey in our postcard challenge last week which was fun. Hoping to do more than just my postcard this week!

This week, I made an adorable yo-yo bear. I also supported fellow artists at the Fulton County craft show. Wonderful new treasures.

Just learning my way around the i Mac so it may be a while before I can upload any art to share! I’m lucky I can do e-mail! lol Have a great week and a wonderful holiday to those who are celebrating Easter and Passover this week!

Hello Leah, hope all is well your way, quite busy lately with family and baby Lulu, but trying to fit art in when I can, always quite the challenge!

It has been dark, dreary and non-stop rain in Oregon lately – my remedy has been to paint and draw cheery, sunny bunches of flowers. This is part of a series I am working on – using lines to create shapes and depth. Feedback would be much appreciated – I have posted lots of line drawings on mu blog

Still doing my 365 project. March was a complicated month, these words have helped me to find my own pace

I’ve started, but I don’t have the language part on it yet! I gotta keep pluggin’ along!

Thinking of this month theme, I have created a composition using a photo and some words…

Finally posted a mix of things, this will be my last post on my blog and the rest is pictures on Google+ as no available time to properly post.

I dropped off my painting for the Small Feats show and posted images of my work and details about the show on my blog. I’d appreciate any comments and if anyone is in the St. Catharines, Ontario area, come on out to the show and invite others! Have a creative rest of the week!

I’ve been busy playing outdoors and working on getting a job but I still find time for my oil pastel series. I’ve posted a new one that is called Spring Equinox.
