Art Every Day Month Check-In: November 8th

November 8th, 2009

Today is the 8th day of Art Every Day Month. Happy creating everyone!

The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post and the links in the sidebar for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!

If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post (or specific image if you're linking to a flickr page or other website) instead of your main blog page or website. If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation. For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.

If you're new to Art Every Day Month, check out the AEDM info page for all the details, then send me an email to sign-up before you use the link widget to share your creations. (If that email link isn't working, you can email me at leah at bluetreeartgallery.com)

Instructions: Please see the Art Every Day Month Instructions post if you have any confusion about how to post your link or how to sign up.

Twitter: Are you participating in AEDM and you're on Twitter too? I'm on there as @leah_art and I've been using the hashtag #aedm to mark Art Every Day Month tweets. I also started a Twitter list for AEDM which can help you easily find Twitter folks who are participating. If you're not on the Twitter list yet and would like to be, send me a DM (Direct Message on Twitter.)

Creativity is a mindset, an attitude. Regardless of how we feel - low or high or in between - creativity is always there. ~Nikki Coulombe

The slouchy hat marathon is officially ended. Thanks for all who have been cheering me on. Quick photos posted. Real photo shoot tomorrow.

I’m feeling so energized by this entire process. Thanks for all of your inspiration.

Can you believe we are on week #2! I’m having a blast. Thanks to everyone who swings by and comments. I’m going to try to catch up on the comments that people have left.

Like Kathryn, I am having a blast – creating more than I knew I could… for me it is about creating an artful (and Art Full!) life as much as the products I am creating.

Awesome!!!

Today has been creative as have painted and created a Birthday card (1st part of a Birthday gift) but am not sure how to go about posting it considering everytime i create a new post, it feeds into Facebook automatically and the beloved ones of that person whose birthday it is can seen it, plus she will see it too! Also, writing about it won’t be wise neither. It is a really pretty birthday watercolour which am very happy with. Simple. :) Any ideas of sharing it without being too obvious?

I just had an idea, I can share it via your Flickr group without being obvious as then I don’t have to do a post about it and no one will see it whom I know. Brilliant!

Besides creating, I am enjoying seeing everyone’s post each day. I try to run through them near the end of my day hoping to see as many as possible.

i sort of cheated a little bit, just an ongoing knitting project to share, but it’s so beautiful outside, i want OUT!

Not much art today – just an ongoing quilt project and scenes from my day. I’m so enjoying seeing what everyone is doing!

This is a series I wanted to start this summer. I have been putting it off, but all the creativity here had me ready to work again. Thank you everyone.

I am sorry about the double link in the Mr Linky Widget, I am not sure how that happened.

Today was one of those days that AEDM really made a difference. Normally I probably wouldn’t have found time to paint on a day like today, but since I ‘had to’, I found an hour for art. Plus I’m really pleased with the results!

slouchy hat photo shoot has been posted now. Such a fun afternoon with a good friend. Check it out!

Lovely process, lovely blogs its 12.20 am here in london but I wonder what creativity will bring to me tomorrow…

Today I continued to work on the painting of my lady figure that I’ve committed to spending the entire month on. I posted the day before about love/hating the painting as I process through it. Today was a day of love. I add lots and lots of sporadic color giving the painting a unity that I’m pleased with.

Today I started on three minis. I love this challenge because I have really enjoyed making a few mini collage series in the past few months and they were a real hit at the show. These will have a blue & white acrylic background and I’m using this wonderful new art stamp that I just purchased on each of them but in different ways. Maybe I’ll be able to finish at least one tomorrow to post on my blog. Great fun gals!

Todays’ post is the continuation of Friday’s post of the collage that said “I love you”. Two of you inspired me to finish the collage by permanently affixing it to the chair and posting photos of the completed chair and another of my whimsically painted chairs. I am loving the accountability of creating every day. Thanks, my wonderful art community for the love and inspiration and shared reality!!
Love,
Sandy

I actually worked on 2 projects today. I am finding it very nice to take the time out, since I am sorting papers and cleaning out my office/house in an effort to be able to find anything. The art breaks are perfect! And I love to see what other people are creating and their process, both actual and internal.

Thanks for commenting on my project, Leah (and everyone else, too!) – I worked on a few more stitches over the weekend, and I’m just about done with my first embroidery project. I’ve already picked out project #2! I love learning new crafts. :) And I love seeing what everyone else is up to, too. So much inspiration to be found on everyone’s blogs!

Created a wall hanging (that I’m giving away on my blog) using The Four Agreements as my inspiration. I posted The Four Agreements on an earlier post last week and they have been on my mind every day since. I’m really trying my best to live up to “The Agreements”. It’s a struggle sometimes, but like anything else, if practiced enough you get better . . . right? *smiles*

Have an art-filled week ahead!! xoxo

Thanks to all the folks who have looked at my AEDM paintings on my blog and followed me on Twitter. I appreciate your comments and your encouragement!
Thanks, -Mavis

I took so long tracking down the what I wanted to share that it became tomorrow.

Today was beautiful and I am excited about trying something new…fire breathing….
